The Road to Success
Our Work Experience programme has been set up to give students aged 14-19 years old, the opportunity to get a taste of what it’s like to work in a diverse global engineering business whilst exploring potential career paths with Cummins Turbo Technologies.
The week long Work Experience placement supports our desire to build a young talent pool to tap into for future opportunities within Cummins Turbo Technologies.
Since its launch in October 2014, more than 60 young people have taken part in our Work Experience programme.
Here at Cummins our values of; Integrity, Innovation, Delivering Superior Results, Corporate Responsibility, Diversity and Global Involvement are at the core of what we do. During your Work Experience placement you will have the opportunity to develop the following skills and knowledge:
- Creativity and innovation
- Communication skills
- Importance of Health and Safety
- Cummins organisation knowledge including policies and procedures on site

Work Experience Case Study – William Davies
William attended his Work Experience placement with Cummins Turbo Technologies in June 2016 working in our Design Engineering business area.
